M's fist day at school

So last week M has her first day away from mommy. I must admit she did better than I did. I really didn't think she missed me until I saw the huge smile on her face when they brought her to the door. I was so happy to pick her up because it seem like forever, even though she had only been there about 5 hours. She goes every Wednesday and I get to get some things done around the house or run a few errands that would be difficult with a small child. I didn't take any pictures of this wonderful occasion, but I am sure I will get some this up coming week.

This is a much welcomed break after being stuck in the house for the past 5 months. Besides it gives me the opportunity to catch up on some much needed rest that I am missing out on when she wakes up early in the morning. I am even able to get some pampering done durning this time. I can do lunch with hubs if I wanted too and do not have to worry about the crying that goes on in the back seat on long drives home.

I must admit this was kind of tough for me because I am so use to having her around me all the time. So it took a little talking into to get me going in the right direction, but I did it. Although it was hard I was able to have a much needed break from the hassle of being a mom.

She also got a good report and they told me that she was happy all day long. I was kind of shocked that she only took one nap while she was there, when she naps for me at least twice before daddy gets home. But hey, they loved her and who wouldn't she is a perfect baby, most of the time. So I will see just how much I get done this week on my free day.

  1. That is great that she is doing so well...now you know that you have atleast one day to get all the running around done while child free. I love running errands like that.
    Enjoy!
