Hey Daddy, Can I Help!!

It seems like everytime one of us do something at the sink we have a helper. Please forgive the fact that daddy is without a shirt and the big glare in the from the flash, but I just have to capture the moment of this little girl trying to help out.

Um.. Daddy, I Don't Think This Is On Right....

Ok, so Wednesday when I went to pick up Madison from school, I was it with a little surprise. Let me give you the break down. For the past few weeks, hubs has been very nice to me and has let me sleep in while he gets Madison dressed and taken to school. Well this past Wednesday was no different, except.....Madison was dressed a little bit different. Take a look see....

If you haven't guess yet what the problem is, I will tell you. The outfit is on backwards. The silly part about this is, he said he thought when he button it up he thought something was wrong, but he left it on anyway. So, to my surprised when I picked her up, I asked if they had turned it around for a reason, and staff was like "No, we thought you put it on backward for a certain purpose and we left it that way. I just died right there on the spot, but not before I told them my husband dressed her.

But as you can see above, Madison had no clue. She just went about her happy little way, playing and getting into everything as usual. SO FUNNY!

It's Coming...

So, last week we took Madison to the doctor and she asked if she was sprouting any teeth. Well at that time we said a big "NO!!". Well guess what, we felt a peg. Take a look see...... You can see the gum is a little red, but nothing white just yet. I will try to get another picture now that it is up a little bit more.
Yea, here comes the tooth.

Madison's and Her Bouncer

So, Madison has a new use for her bouncer. She no longer wants to sit and play in it, she would much rather climb under it and play. See below.....

It is all smiles, until....
She can't figure how to get out.. Then here come the cry for help.

You would think this would deter her from doing it again. Nope, not this stubborn little girl, 5 minutes later is back under there, but this time she figure how to get out. Oh, the joys of motherhood.

Gods Masterpiece

One day last week, hubs went outside and captured one of God's greatest Masterpiece. These were so unique that I just had to post them on the blog. Isn't it amazing what God can do!

I love how the one cloud looks separate from the other. Just floating in the middle.

This picture reminds me of the ocean, rolling on the sea shore.
So amazing what our Father can do. I mean this is a great work of art and I am thankful that I am alive to see something so beautiful.

Madison's 9th Month Check Up!

I can not believe that in 3 more months, my once new born baby will be a year old. Where has the time gone. Well, Tuesday she had her 9th month check up, and I have to say it was smooth, sense there were no shots given, only a finger stick. I don't know why she didn't cry with that, because I had to get one and it hurts.

Madison and Mommy! Daddy was behind the camera.

While we were waiting Madison found something to entertain her. You got, it's her foot.
Then it was a round of "Patty Cake".We were told to get her undressed so we could get her stats. So here she is checking them out.
She needed a much closer look.
Finally the doctor came in and what does my sweet little angel do? She offers up her paci! Well not really, she just act like she is going to give it to you, and then snatch it back.

Her Stats:
17lb - 25%
26 1/8 in long - 25%
She is still pretty small, but the doctors said that was ok, because she looks healthy and she does not need to be a very big kid, sense were are not really large (tall) people.

Poor, Poor, Poor Gizmo

Remember I told you all that Gizmo spent the night with us this past Friday, what a task. So let me tell you a bit about Gizmo. He is a 4.75lb, always begging, run the house, whining machine. Needless to say he was no different while he was here, but there was only one difference here at this house, someone who is 17lb, runs the show, faster than a speeding bullet. So here is how the two spent their pass time....

Look out Gizmo, I'm coming to get you

Ah ha, I'm just an arm reach away. Just stay right there and I will be able to grab your ears.

It's time for the stare down.

Needless to say, Gizmo lost this fight because she was able to catch him a couple of time. She only pulled his ears once and manage to touch his tail, but these two together make my blood pressure rise. I was either picking him up, pulling her away or keeping her from his food. It made for a very long night.

Madison and Her Bumbo

This is Madison before
And this is Madison after she gets to her destination.
Don't worry we are right by her side so she will not hit her face on the floor, I promise!

Random Pictures

Here are some random pictures of Madison playing in her room after her bath. It is so funny, how she will go in there and find whatever she can and play with it. She usually finds the jungle gym that we have taken apart because she pulls her self up on it or the little mobile that hangs on her bassinet.

Here she is playing with the broken jungle gym. She is looking back because we were calling her name and she would not come see what we wanted.

Once she is done with the gym set she is off to something else. Crawling over to the backpack that is now on the floor.

Here she is playing with the top half of the mobile. You can't see the little flowers that hang down and that is what she is really after, so she can put them in her mouth.

Now back to the jungle gyms she goes. This is a face we see often. I am not sure what she is doing, but she always make this face and following by a little squeal.

A Baby and A Dog = Bad Business

Ok, so today my mom is going out of town to the casino and she asked if I could keep her small dog until she gets back tomorrow morning. Seeming to the fact she kept Madison last weekend I had no problem returning the favor. WELL, now I know better.

Sense 11:30 am Gizmo has been running from Madison and she finally got him cornered in the bathroom, and what do I hear, so major crying on both of their parts. No he did not bite her but his crying made her tune up and cry to. SO, after about 10 minutes of me standing there watching them I picked her up and he ran out the bathroom to hide under the bed in Madison's room. However I thought that was the end of my drama, NOT SO!!

Once I picked her up I kept her on the couch for about an hour watching Noggin, Little Bill rocks! Anyway, I though it would be a good idea to put her down now, maybe she will not attack the dog on her mat, not so, she went straight for his tail as he tried to sleep. So once again, I picked her up and took her to the computer where I sent a couple of emails. So she was getting restless in my lap so I put her down on the floor. But here the kicker...

I did not remember that the dog bowl was on the floor, and when I notice that she had went around the coroner and got really quite I got up to see what she was doing. What did I find, the dog bowls have been flipped and she had a morsel of dog food in her mouth. Gross. There was water all over the floor and I'm fighting a losing battle of locked gums and a stubborn baby who would not like to give up her new treat. But I was the successor.

I just hope the rest of this night goes better than the first half of the morning. I am off because now they are both sleep and I can finally put something in my stomach, have to work out this evening and I don't need to do it on an empty stomach.

Two of My Favorite People

Hubs was doing some pictures with Madison and this is the one I like. It seem like she is doing exactly what daddy was doing.

This was a shot of Madison crawling all over daddy trying to get the camera. I just love her smile on this one.

Madison goes back to school on Wednesday, I am so going to miss her. She has been home for two weeks and I am kind of use to her being with me all day. So for the summer I changed my mind and I only put her up there for 1 day, instead of 2. But she will be going 2 days in the fall for sure.

Lots of Free Time

So, I got to have some free time this past week and weekend and I can not say how much it came at a really good time. I have been on new medication and it has not been working just right. We are trying something different but all it is doing is making me agitated and cranky. This is better known as Mania. Well anyway, we went and picked up my grandmother Wednesday to come and spend a few days with me and Madison. We didn't do much but it was cool to have her here. Madison was out of school for this week, so she had a blast chillin' with me and her great-grandmother. We did not take her home until today, and all the time she (my grandmother) was here Madison was with her. So this was a welcomed break for me, because mentally I was not all there.

So, thanks to my wonderful mother we got a free day without Madison on Saturday, she was a God send. Not like a needed any more time away from Madison, but I took it anyway. She kept her while Seneca and I went out to dinner and a movie, something we have not done sense Madison has been born. This was right of Madison alley, oh how that little girl loves her Me-Maw . However, I was not in the best of moods so maybe that is the reason why I felt that Terminator sucked. Or maybe I just didn't understand it, the plot was not obvious to me. I mean who was running the machines and how did they take over the world. It just did not click. I did however like the few action scenes, but other than that it was a bust. However, I must say that the dinner was great. We went to this place called 5th Street Cafe and I had the Louisiana Sausage and Chicken Pasta and hubs had the Turkey Sandwich with pea salad. The turkey sandwich was good too. So I was well pleased. We will be going back there pretty soon.

So thanks mom for keeping Madison and letting us just relax from this stressful week. And thank you grandmother for hanging out with us, even though hubs and I fought the whole time you were here. Maybe I will be better off when you come next month. These stupid meds.

Oh Brother.... Why Did He Pick Me

Ok, so as you guys may or may not know that I have been working with a personal trainer for the past two weeks in order to get my weight under control. Well I only signed up for 4 sessions until my group weight loss program began.

Let me start from the beginning. At Life Time fitness they have a program where you can sign up to take a group weight loss class in order to work with a trainer and a nutritionist but at a fraction of the cost. Ok, so 3 weeks ago I signed up for that program. In this program you must lose a certain amount of weight or you have to pay a fee for not reaching your goal. That fee is $150 bucks in addition to the cost of the class, so you know I am going to give it all I got. Anyway, as I signed up for that program, I was thinking about getting some one on one time with a trainer until it started, you know just to have a jump on the game. Well, I did just that.

Now back to my story, for the past two weeks I have been getting to the gym at 6:30 am to work with my trainer, two days a week. It is only for 30 minutes but it seems like forever. Well today, he informed me that not only does he want me to take the group class, he has signed me up for a 2nd challenge. He and some other trainers are making a bet to see if they can whip whom ever they pick into shape before each other. OH BROTHER......WHY DID HE PICK ME. Now he trains 35 people but I am the lucky one. REALLY, are you kidding me.

Now keep in mind I was only planned on working out for 30 minutes a day,6 days a week until I got into better shape, now he has bumped it up to 1hr and 1/2 , 6 days a week. Two days I will be working with him for an hour and then they other days I am to follow the plan that he maps out for me. JUST GREAT!! These plans are the worst, not only do I have to workout really hard, I have to change everything I eat. OH BROTHER....WHY DID HE PICK ME.

Ok, so I don't eat that much junk, but I live off of caffeine, something that he really would like for me to give up. REALLY, you have to be kidding me when he comes in there with a extra large coffee each work out. The crazy part is, I was just telling hubs yesterday how I needed some motivation to keep going. I guess you have to be careful for what you wish for, you just MIGHT get it. So needless to say, starting Sunday my work out schedule will be longer and much harsher. I really hope we win. Even though I don't win anything, I adore my trainer and I would love for him to win bragging rights. Well, I take that back, I get something, WEIGHT LOSS, who doesn't want that.

So all my blog land friends wish me luck. Each program last 3 months, oh the DRAMA! At the end I will post my weight and picture, my goal for the group class is 18lb, 10% of body weight, and for the second challenge it is the person with the least body fat, kind of like The Biggest Loser.

P.S. I will post picture of our family picnic when I get a chance, hubs has finished touching them up and they are wonderful.
